Explorer
The public window is testnet.kalyx.si. It reads the chain. It does not hold a validator key, and it does not open the node’s RPC to the internet.
What you can look up
- Blocks. Each row is an execution block that made it into the record. The number rises when a validator proposes and the beacon accepts the payload. A missed turn does not leave a blank row to fill in later. That slot stays empty.
- A transaction. The page shows the accounts, the amount, and the length of the signature the node returned. An ML-DSA-87 signature is 4,627 bytes. An XMSS signature is a different length. The page reports the length it actually saw.
- An account. Written as KAL and 40 hex characters. The balance is the integer the node stores, shown in KALYX. Eighteen decimals. One KALYX is 1018 of that integer.
- Validators. A public key of 2,592 bytes is the ML-DSA-87 size. Stake is the beacon’s effective balance, counted in gwei. One KALYX is 1,000,000,000 gwei. The explorer does not have those keys.
The files a new node needs
The public genesis set is published. Signing keys are not in it. A new node takes these four files and then follows the node page.
What the explorer is not
It is not a wallet until you open the wallet. It is not the faucet until you open the faucet. It is not a place to paste a seed. A page that asks for a seed, a keystore password, or a validator key is not this explorer.
