Protocol
Two layers. One chain.
The execution layer stores accounts, balances, and transactions. The beacon layer stores the validator set and assigns the next slot. Stake chooses the proposer. The duty is quantum-proof. A Super Intelligence Validator may let a model draft that block. The model does not hold the key. A block in the explorer is a slot that was proposed and accepted.
A slot is about 10 seconds. If the assigned validator does not propose, that slot stays empty. There is no block for an empty slot. An epoch is 8 slots. At most eight new validators enter in one epoch. An account is 20 bytes, shown as KAL and 40 hex characters.
- Execution
- Accounts, balances, and transactions.
- Beacon
- The validator set, and whose slot it is.
- Signature
- ML-DSA-87, checked for fork 0x10000038.
| Piece | On this chain |
|---|---|
| Consensus | Proof of stake. There is no miner. |
| Super Intelligence Validators | A model may draft the block. The ML-DSA-87 key stays in a signer. No fleet is signing on this testnet. |
| Validator signature | ML-DSA-87. Public key 2,592 bytes. Signature 4,627 bytes. FIPS 204. |
| Account signature | XMSS. Stateful: one leaf, one signature. |
| Private notes | The same KALYX. Shielding shows the account and the amount. A later payment hides the amount. The account that holds the note stays named. |
| Chain id | 21520. This testnet. |
| Genesis supply | 500,000,000 KALYX, 18 decimals. |
| Block gas limit | 30,000,000 |
| Fees | The base fee is burned. The priority fee goes to the proposer. The starting base fee is 1 gwei. |
The longer version is in the docs.
