Terms

The rules for using Kalyx. Read them before you send.

These terms cover kalyx.si, the public testnet, the wallet on the explorer, and the Kalyx browser extension. Effective 26 October 2026.

Kalyx is a quantum-proof proof-of-stake testnet. Chain id 21520. Super Intelligence Validators may draft a block. The signer holds the ML-DSA-87 key. Spending accounts use XMSS. The privacy page says what is stored, and what is not.

Not an offer

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or investment advice. Nothing here is an offer, a solicitation, or a sale of a security, a commodity, or any other regulated instrument.

KALYX on this testnet is a test unit. It pays the network fee on chain 21520. It is not money. It is not a claim on the operator. The faucet coins are for trying the chain. Do not put value here that you cannot lose.

A project token, if one is published, is a separate contract on Robinhood Chain. It does not pay gas on this testnet. This site does not promise a listing, a price, a redemption into testnet KALYX, or that the contract will exist. The token page is the distinction.

The software is experimental

The site, the explorer, the faucet, the wallets, and the node software are provided as they are. There is no warranty of fitness, uptime, or correctness. Client audits are not finished.

Quantum-proof describes the signatures in use. Validator duties use ML-DSA-87. Spending accounts use XMSS. Shor's algorithm solves factoring and the elliptic-curve problem. It does not solve these two schemes. That is a choice of math. It is not a promise that no future method can ever touch them.

The private-payment check is built from hashes. It does not use an elliptic-curve lock. It is not a replacement for ML-DSA-87 or for XMSS. Those two signatures still do their own jobs.

The agent standard in the docs is a rule. The agent fleet is not running. A model may draft. The model does not hold the key.

This testnet can halt, change, or lose data if the software fails. A balance can disappear with that failure. Treat every balance as temporary. There is no chargeback and no reversal desk.

You hold the keys

Kalyx does not custody coins. A seed, a passphrase, and a note stay with you. The operator cannot open them, reset them, or return them.

  • A lost seed cannot be recovered. There is no word list.
  • A forgotten passphrase cannot be recovered from the encrypted file or from the extension.
  • An XMSS account signs with one leaf per signature. That leaf cannot be used again. The same seed on two devices can reuse a leaf and break the account.
  • A wrong address is a completed send. It is not undone.
  • The browser wallet is a spending account. It must not hold a validator key. A validator key is ML-DSA-87, created on a machine you run, signed for fork version 0x10000038, and backed by a deposit of 40,000 KALYX. That deposit is still testnet KALYX.

The wallet page and the account page are the operating rules.

Private payments

A private note is a second balance of the same KALYX. It is not a second coin, and it is not the wallet seed. The private payments page is the full rule. These limits are part of these terms:

  • Shield is public. The account and the amount show.
  • A private payment hides the amount on the transaction value. It still names the account that holds the note, and the account that will hold it next.
  • Unshield is public. The coins return to a public balance.
  • The whole note moves. It does not split.
  • The largest note is 16,777.215 KALYX. Steps are 0.001 KALYX.
  • One shared pool holds 256 leaves. A full unshield does not free a slot. After 256 adds, the pool is full.
  • The account that publishes the pool does not control it. There is no admin key on the pool.
  • Lose every copy of the note and the coins cannot come back.

Private notes are in the wallet on the explorer. They are not in the browser extension.

The browser extension

The Kalyx extension is a spending wallet for chain 21520, for Chrome, Firefox, and Brave. It stores an encrypted keystore on that computer. Each wallet has its own passphrase. Lock closes the session. Reset deletes the wallets saved in that browser. Reset does not delete coins from the chain, and it does not restore a forgotten passphrase.

A site does not see an address until you connect. A send still needs your confirmation, and a person check, before it is submitted. A connected site can ask for a transaction. It cannot read the seed. A signature spends one XMSS leaf. The extension does not sign an arbitrary message for a site.

The extension may be listed in a browser store. That store’s own terms also apply. The store is not Kalyx, and a store listing is not an audit.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the network, the faucet, the explorer, or another person. Do not use the software to commit a crime. Do not submit another person’s seed, passphrase, or note. The person check exists so a script cannot drain the public submit path. It is not a backup of your seed.

No custody, no partnership

Using the site does not make you a partner, an employee, or a validator. Running a validator is a separate choice, on a machine you operate, under the validator page. Kalyx does not hold your coins, does not insure them, and does not promise to replace them.

To the extent the law allows, the people who publish this software are not liable for lost coins, lost notes, lost seeds, downtime, a site you connected, a contract you called, or a decision you made from a page on this site.

Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top is the version on the site. Continuing to use the site, the testnet, or a wallet after that date means you are using the current version.

There is no recovery desk. Questions about these terms go through the public channels listed on this site, when those channels are published. A message there cannot restore a seed.
